然而，相识却要比想象中残酷的多，何亚春的五个孩子，有的婚姻不幸，沾染上了赌博的恶习，有的寄人篱下，一辈子对母亲怀有怨恨，最惨的要数老三家强，在一场意外中，他坠楼脑部受损，成为了智障。家庭四分五裂的现状让何亚春十分心痛，她决心用自己的余生去补偿孩子们。。
