该剧围绕着出现在路上的可疑尸体和四个杀人嫌疑人，讲述电视节目《Return》主持人兼律师崔慈惠（高贤贞第1~15集 / 朴真熙第16~34集饰）和不良少年出身的警察独孤英（李阵郁饰） 联手追查真相的故事。。四十年代，9岁的孩子拉尔夫认为圣诞节最完美的礼物就是一把Red Ryder BB gun，但是所有的人都认为这是非常危险的礼物，甚至不惜与老师，父母甚至圣诞老人对立。
