John Day is a bank manager and lives with his wife Maria Day. The couple has recently lost their only daughter. Maria is always depressed and never opens up with anyone. One day when John is away for office work, a courier-boy enters the house and takes Maria as a captive, then a series of misfortunes start to happen.。逢年過節就是華人女性最忙碌的時刻，農曆新年更堪稱「女性勞動周」，尤其是傳統觀念中，「媽媽」、「女兒」、「媳婦」除了被賦予除舊佈新的責任，過年期間還要駐守廚房、還要幫忙祭祀、張羅年菜...... 但到底一系列的過年習俗，讓女性們忙前忙後的背後意義是甚麼?。
