美丽而干练的周若冰（刘蓓 饰）是一名卓有成就的青年律师，她受聘于大华工贸集团，在业内小有名气。当她刚刚打赢一场官司时，却得知了在大华集团担任财务的表妹徐晓晴（王一楠 饰）意外身亡的噩耗。根据现场勘查的情况判断，晓晴死于线路老化导致的意外，可是太平间内她尸体上的白菊花竟被人偷偷换成了火红的康乃馨。这一蹊跷事件以及事故前表妹打来的电话，让周若冰怀疑背后另有隐情。她尝试这询问相关责任人，谁知大华方面接二连三的反常举动和人事安排反而让晓晴之死蒙上了更深一层疑云。
