以世界历史为主轴，将多个国家以及该国的文化以及风土民情拟人化，主要以喜剧短篇为主。。卢卡斯无意间在奶奶的老房子里得到一块水晶，意外来到了一座满是恐龙的小岛上，眼前的一切景象都令其不解，直到他遇到一个自称来自1950年代的怪异女孩凯特。原来两人被困在这个不知是何空间的地方，在此生活数年的凯特醉心研究恐龙，不料两人外出时却遭土著人追捕被抓。卢卡斯在同样被抓之人口中意外得知水晶里蕴含的巨大能量，在其指引下历经艰险找到水晶群，利用其能量最终与凯特重返现代，而凯特正是自己奶奶，凯特的研究也引起世界瞩目，获得了诺贝尔奖。
