In this film, Keaton, Arbuckle, and others, work as stagehands, backstage of course, in a playhouse trying to help and in some cases, stay far away from ...。描述南宋夏侯世家入金国救徽钦二帝的故事。夏侯世家一门女杰，艺高胆大不让须眉，宋高宗忌惮其势力，故意派之入金，表面救二圣，实为送死。中间穿插了宋国虎牢关守将龙腾与夏侯翠缨、夏侯紫缨的三角恋，以及金国将军完颜桑哥和夏侯蓝缨的异族悲恋，后又有龙腾身世被揭，原来他亦为金人，乃完颜桑哥的二哥，龙腾遂与桑哥连手除去野心勃勃的大哥完颜哈赤奴。但夏侯世家已伤亡惨重，桑哥与蓝缨因黛玛介入而不得善终，龙腾与翠缨亦遭宋高宗狙杀，所有人物全部牺牲。。
