千年来亚特兰提斯(Atlantis)的传奇一直吸引着人们。哥伦布(Columbus)寻找亚特兰提斯却找到美洲大陆。英国人调查亚速群岛(the Azores)，纳粹搜索挪威海岸，都为了找到其祕密。搜寻持续到现代，三个考古团队决心用柏拉图(Plato)对亚特兰提斯的描述，来确认城市的特征，看看几个古老地点是否符合标准，失落的传奇城市是否真有其地，或者只是古老幻想。。A young woman (Rosemary Wilcox) is haunted by pop-Freudian dreams of her recently murdered psychologist (and lover), so for some reason she goes to a resort where the psychologist liked to hang out and becomes involved with a gangster (Adolf Celli) and the strange female resort owner (Alida Valli).
