Wanting to believe their mother left some guidance to help heal the wounds of her abs...。一个为了追逐电影梦想的大龄北漂余小宝（姜峰饰）隐瞒了自己拮据苦闷的生活现状，在老家的女儿小妮（戴佳佳饰）面前描述自己已经做了导演。女儿带着几个同学突然坐上北京的火车“看望导演爸爸”，让刚刚才当上剧照师的余小宝猝不及防。 为了不让女儿在同学们的眼里变成“骗子”，余小宝必须在女儿乘坐的火车到达北京之前，想尽一切办法成为“导演”。他只能求助于自己的北漂朋友们。这些北漂中的“非成功者”决定想尽一切办法建一个“剧组”，拍摄一场由余小宝导演的“电影”。至少，不能在小姑娘们面前露馅。。
