纪录片《邂逅》以中英艺术家的创作活动为切入点，钩沉历史，还原汤显祖与莎士比亚的戏剧人生。力图让观者在欣赏中国传统艺术之大美的同时，重新认识作为一个士大夫的有血有肉的汤显祖，揭示名著《牡丹亭》诞生背后的故事。。
