本片讲述了70年代一个普通中国孩子聂耳的人之初。在昆明的端仕街的小药铺成春堂里，一位年轻的寡妇带着四个年幼的孩子过着清贫的生活。信儿（聂耳）是其中最不安分的孩子，为了支持信儿上学，母亲准备卖掉家里的八音钟，信儿哭喊着不让；信儿作弄了学堂里经常欺负其他孩子的雀儿而被先生训骂；信儿的好友屈儿走了，伤心的信儿大病一场；母亲病重，信儿将八音钟拿去买了给母亲卖药；信儿为了病重的母亲决定上学费便宜的学校。。Here's a modern-day film noir in which you're never sure what's real and what isn't real.
