影片讲述了一位音乐制作人，长期得过且过的度日，某天在一家即将结业的咖啡店，被老板一顿痛斥他不求上进之后，他自暴自弃的灌醉自己，却无意中穿越到16年前的相同咖啡店，经历了一幕平淡而又凄离的故事，使他完全转变了对怀恨已久的咖啡店老板的态度，他想要改变故事的发展，却发现原来一切的原因和结果都来源于他自己，消逝的终将消逝......。以《出水芙蓉》知名的埃丝特·威廉斯，在理查德·托普执导的这部歌舞片中饰演电影明星罗莎琳·雷诺丝。她在前往夏威夷拍外景时，令海军的科技顾问劳伦斯·金斯利中尉情不自禁爱上了她，但遭到断然拒绝。于是中尉将大明星绑架到附近的一个海岛上，强逼她随着手提收音机的音乐跟自己起舞，整个外景队因为女主角失踪而疯狂，当然结果还是喜剧收场。本片拍得相当热闹流畅，最可爱的依旧是埃丝特的水中舞蹈演出，而穿插在片中的七、八首插曲也相当悦耳动听。。Jamez Bond is the lead character in Spoof, a frustrated one, since he's not able to figure out a way to complete his famous sentence: "My name is...", before getting shot.
