《福塞特世家》改编自同名的系列长篇小说，是英国1932年的诺贝尔文学奖获得者约翰·高尔斯华绥的代表作。福塞特家族是维多利亚时代和爱德华时代的英国中上层社会中的故事。故事的两位主角是家族中的两位男性：律师Soames Forsyte和艺术家Jolyon Forsyte。以他们为主线的家族故事跨度三十年，其中充满悲欢离合。Claire Lescot is a famous prima donna.
