20世纪80年代，拥有灰暗童年的19岁青年北町贯多（森山未来 饰）过着堕落无望的生活。他早年辍学，离家出走，性格乖戾，自卑无耻，说着各种谎话拖欠房租，努力工作赚来的钱全部浪掷风化场所，读书大概是他仅有的爱好。在工厂内，他与帅气聪明的新人日下部正二（高良健吾 饰）结为好友，虽然背景完全不同，但自我封闭的贯多些许体味到友情的美好。在正二的支持下，贯多还鼓起勇气向一直倾慕的书店女孩樱井康子（前田敦子 饰）提出交往请求。三个青年男女跨越藩篱，尽情玩耍欢笑。阴霾的天空下，短暂的青春美好……
