素直子收到一封冲绳来信，来信人大村鹤男自称可能是她的异母哥哥，素直子于是和父亲的未婚妻桃子一起来到冲绳游玩，想借机寻找哥哥。而鹤男曾经见过桃子，把当作了妹妹，对素直子反倒没什么感情。桃子背叛了未婚夫，和鹤男相恋。素直子偶然结识了也有可能是大村鹤男父亲的国吉，国吉和素直子的父亲菊地是大学同学，鹤男不知是他们谁的孩子。当年曾经对立的国吉和菊地，今天已经是冲绳和东京的上层要人了，对这些过去的纠葛一笑了之应该是他们最合适的态度了。冲绳和日本的关系，在这个血缘故事中得到了隐喻的反映。。Interweaving stories of four different women involved in the sex industry offers a glimpse into the dark underbelly of Los Angeles and the taboo lifestyle of a sex worker.
