The Nativity is a 2010 British four-part drama television series. The series is a re-telling of the nativity and was broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD across four days, starting on 20 December 2010. It was rebroadcast in two hour-long parts on the mornings of 24 and 25 December 2011.
The series stars Tatiana Maslany as Mary| Andrew Buchan as Joseph| Neil Dudgeon as Joachim| Claudie Blakley as Anna| Peter Capaldi as Balthasar and John Lynch as Gabriel.。民国初年，安徽省白沙镇以贞节牌坊出名，贞节牌坊为历代贞烈妻子的荣耀，其中曾家更为白沙镇的名门望族。曾家纨绔子弟曾靖南娶了名门之女夏梦寒，谁料丈夫婚后四处惹祸留情令梦寒以泪洗面。曾家义子雨杭亲眼看着悲剧发生，心痛梦寒的处境却束手无策。当靖南意外丧生后，二人因相互了解而日久生情，最终强烈的爱意战胜了道德的束缚和家庭的阻挠。为冲破封建礼教的束缚，梦寒须走过七道牌坊以获得自由，然而全镇人竟用棍棒秽物乱打，最后雨杭和梦寒共同度过牌坊，离开白沙镇。。
