1931年九一八事变后 ，国民政府采取不抵抗政策 ，东北军爱国将领唐聚五在无钱无兵无地盘的情况下，克服种种困难抵抗日本侵略。。三年前，一场登山坠崖事件发生。登山俱乐部会员Mike遇难，俱乐部女服务生因工作失误受到谴责而自杀。Mike女友半年后与人低调结婚。不久，年轻作家柳飞云以此为蓝本，创作一本悬疑小说，但出版后却毫无声息。
