Decades post-high school, Ram and Jaanu meet at their school's reunion and explore their past thoughts consisting of affection, care, depth and grieve all over the period of one evening.。讲一个参加倒幕运动的农民，带着没有压迫、人人平等的梦想，尝试回乡建立新秩序的故事。 「赤毛」というのは、幕末、江戸に進軍する官軍の「赤報隊」（これ、時効になった朝日新聞襲撃の際、犯行声明出した謎の団体の名前と同じ？）の隊長がかぶる「鏡獅子」みたいな被り物が赤かったところからくる通称。百姓くずれの官軍の一兵卒・権三は「先方隊」に立候補し、隊長の「赤毛」を借りて、生まれ故郷の村に乗り込む。そこは、代官とやくざの一家に牛耳られ…となると、まるでクロサワの『用心棒』。村のセットも『用心棒』の宿場町に似てる。百姓達は年貢取立てに苦しみ、権三の恋人とみ（岩下志麻）ら、女たちは女郎屋に売られ、蘭学者に扇動された青年達は決起寸前、革命の機運高まる、というのが1969年的なんでしょうか。。After an injured young woman takes refuge in his secluded home, a gruff recluse must fight off a bloodthirsty cult and an insatiable sorceress to save both of their lives.
