民国期间，古蜀国藏宝图流落于蓉城洗面桥监狱的传闻甚嚣尘上，引来各方势力觊觎。尤其是洋人们，更是直接向蓉城总督吴将军施压，谋夺藏宝图。
为防宝藏落入洋人手中，蓉城学堂的学生们制定了夺宝计划。学生许家兴伪造罪名，试图混入监狱，暗查藏宝图的下落。不料，却被护弟心切的哥哥许家和顶替入狱。
许家和本有能力越狱逃生，然而得知弟弟的真实目的后，不得已卷入对“藏宝图”的争夺。然而，死囚们的身份各自成谜，狱内外的局势也变幻莫测，兄弟二人几经生死，险象环生。
最终，许家兴与许家和里应外合，在其他爱国人士的帮助下，终于成功找到藏宝图，守护了民族财富。。Trevor is 'between jobs'.
