Uninspired and newly single painter Sara is down on her luck and wants nothing more than to get away from her problems. When she decides to take a trip to visit her mom, she becomes involved in the efforts to save a local church which is in danger of closing down.。映画「嘘八百」シリーズの今井雅子が脚本を手がけた本作の主人公は、京都で暮らす町医者・柿木空吉（かきのきくうきち）。往診が専門の彼は腕利きの医者だが、患者の買い物や盆栽の手入れまで引き受けてしまう男だ。そんな空吉のもとに、ある日、離婚以来12年間連絡を取っていなかった娘のミヤコが突然現れる。空吉が動揺するのをよそ目に、ミヤコはしばらく京都にいると宣言。ぎこちない関係の父と娘は、京都の町並みや人々との触れ合いの中で少しずつ心を通わせていく。。
